Vincent makes two great points in his blog this week:
1. The dancers should be dancing, not choreographing. Vince writes, “In the brief amount of time allotted to the dancers to tackle the challenges, I’d rather see them really dance rather than do their own choreography or freestyle.” We would too. Choreography is really, really hard. It’s best left to professionals.
2. The editing is annoying. Vince: “I would like to see less edits during the dance and more wide master shots so that the audience can enjoy the full view of the performances we judges get to see.” The people watching this show are dancers, ex-dancers, or dance enthusiasts. They want to see the dancing! We’d happily give up a few Miguel interviews and a handful of Nick-making-breakfast shots in exchange for an uninterrupted view of the competitions.
On the second page, though, he goes wild! (more…)
